Vicky's Signature Style

I made one more card based on Vicky's signature style over at 365 Cards"Your card should embody this style of soft colors and clean lines, and also have a scraplifted feature from Vicky's card."  So here's Vicky's card:

I scraplifted Vicky's layout to come up with this card:

I like the way it turned out, and it came together pretty quickly.  I ended up making four cards this week which is the most I've made in a long time.  Thanks for looking!

365 Cards Signature Styles

365 Cards is wrapping up its first year this week.  The designers are sharing cards based on their signature styles, and the card challenges are a style and scraplift challenge.  I made two cards so far, and I'm going to try and make a few more before the day is done.  I made my first card based on Audrey's card.  "Stamped image/s and bold colors should figure into your card and scraplift a feature from her card."  Here's Audrey's card:

And my card:

My scraplift is the inside of the card:

I love the way Audrey stamped right on the patterned paper.

I also made a card inspired by Sophie's card:

"So for this challenge, keep it Clean & Simple and Scraplift an element from Sophie's card."  I basically scraplifted Sophie's entire card to make this:

hippity hoppity

It has been FOREVER since I participated in a 2S4Y Challenge.  (I can't wait until our basement is finished and I have a craft space again.)  Here's Laura's sketch:

And my card:

The cute little stamps are from the Michaels $1 bin, and the patterned papers are American Crafts.  I'll end up making more of these cards to send to relatives for Easter.  I never get Valentine's Day cards sent out becuase I'm too worn out from Christmas/New Year's/birthday stuff, but by Easter I'm ready to go again.  Thanks for looking!

365 Cards Day 353 - Audrey's Sketch

It's Seven Sketches week over at 365 Cards. All the sketches have been inspiring so far, but I've only had a chance to make one card. Here's Audrey's sketch:
I really like this sketch because it's a great way to use up strips of all those patterned papers. Here's a not-so-great photo of my card:

I used some of my favorite American Craft papers ("celebration"). I really wish I would have used a different color of thread for the stitching, but I already had white on the sewing machine. Thanks for looking!

Caardvarks & CARDS Magazine

I had to make a card for the current Caardvarks challenge.  Who can resist the chance at possibly being published in CARDS magazine?!  I haven't made a lot of cards lately, and it's been a very long time since I've made a wedding card, but here's my attempt:

Not exactly what I had pictured, but it turned out okay.  I repeatedly stamped "Congratulations" in turquoise ink on some turquoise cardstock.  I made some little red glittery hearts using Stickles (they look a lot better in person).  A fabric heart and some stitching finish it off.  Thanks for looking!
